Happy Almost Spring! What a beautiful week we have had! Students explored equivalent fractions this week in math, took a deeper dive into primary and secondary data and saw first-hand some excellent examples at our Fort Calgary trip Tuesday. In writing, students continued procedural writing ('how to' writing) and we did some French family learning in class this week! Take a look at some of our amazing plant pots students made in preparation for our plant unit... they will soon house some lovely herbs, as well as some other great photos! We also welcomed back Ms. Knox today as she begins the final portions of her first year in teaching school! She will be taking over some teaching with the students until the end of April, Sarah will also be present for Parent Conferences on Thursday, March 21st. If you would not like her in attendance at your students conference please shoot me a quick email and we will make sure that happens for you! We have 4 more school days until Spring Br

Fingers crossed the snow stays away! Grade 4's this week took home their field trip forms for Fort Calgary on March 12th. Students went home on Monday with their multiplication and division quiz, to do corrections on at home over the next two weeks.  **Planning Ahead**   In preparation for our plant unit in science coming up in the spring, if any families have any old plant pots, buckets or anything that can be used for our indoor garden; including soil, seeds, plant food etc.. and they would not mind donating them to our grade 4 classes, please send them in with your students, we greatly appreciate it!
