Welcome Back to Another Great Year!

Welcome back EMJ families!

I am so excited to welcome in a new group of grade 4's this year into my room this year, it's going to be wonderful.

A few things to note for the beginning of the year!

- Grade 4's will enter through the main front doors of the school each day! Beginning Tuesday September 5th Division 2 will be beginning soft entry, the main doors to the school will open for students to make there way to their classes at 7:55am. There will be no need to line up and wait for me outside.

- I will be posting weekly updates here on the blog, please make sure to check these out as there can be important information being shared!

- All students will have access to our Google Classroom, they will use their EDUCBE emails and passwords to access. Google Classroom is where students will find certain assignments, as well as resource website to help in class or at home with additional practices. Please make sure you check in with your students frequently to see what's on our Google Class.

- Please make sure your students comes to school each day with a water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day, a healthy snack and a nutritious lunch! Please also send your student with an extra ziplock bag to out their waste in, as we are a pack in pack out school, so garbages from lunches need to go home with students :) the zip bag helps eliminate spills or messes in lunch bags!

- Healthy Hunger information will be shared on here when the information is passed along from parent council.

- Please be sure your students have an additional pair or indoor shoes they can change into for the school day so that we can keep our school and classroom as clean as possible, and free from outside dirt/snow/mud etc...

- If you are able to send your student to school with a pair of headphones they can use when we use technology, it will help make technology time more productive in the classroom as they become less distracted! If they are smaller wire ones, sending them in a ziplock bag with your students name helps ensure they do not get lost or misplaced!

June 7th

 Grade 4 students this week continued their exploration of important events and places in Alberta. Began their introductory lessons for algebra, and have some more fun doing their evidence writing through our red and green flag activities.  Important Dates Coming Up: -All library books due back this week ASAP! This is extremely important, especially if you will not be at EMJ next year! -Zoo Trip with Buddies June 17th!   Happy Friday Families! We made it through the first two days of the new school year!
