 We are almost there!

Reminder we are heading to the Zoo on Monday, please make sure your student is dressed and prepared for the weather!

We continued our learning of BEDMAS this week in Math, and had the most amazing experience with Trickster Theater this week! In Science students are began learning about living organisms.

 Grade 4 students this week continued their exploration of important events and places in Alberta. Began their introductory lessons for algebra, and have some more fun doing their evidence writing through our red and green flag activities.  Important Dates Coming Up: -All library books due back this week ASAP! November 8th

 Happy Fall Break Families! I hope this week off gives you time to rest and recharge! With cold and flu season upon us make sure you take care of yourself! This week students continued to prepare themselves for Math Stations that will begin after the break, by learning different strategies for addition. We learned about annotating and finding information in large bodies of text in social studies on fossils in Alberta, and continued our writing strategies and morphology in literacy! Please remember there is no school November 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14! See everyone back Wednesday November 15th! Welcome Back to Another Great Year!

Welcome back EMJ families! I am so excited to welcome in a new group of grade 4's this year into my room this year, it's going to be wonderful. A few things to note for the beginning of the year! - Grade 4's will enter through the main front doors of the school each day! Beginning Tuesday September 5th Division 2 will be beginning soft entry, the main doors to the school will open for students to make there way to their classes at 7:55am. There will be no need to line up and wait for me outside. - I will be posting weekly updates here on the blog, please make sure to check these out as there can be important information being shared! - All students will have access to our Google Classroom, they will use their EDUCBE emails and passwords to access. Google Classroom is where students will find certain assignments, as well as resource website to help in class or at home with additional practices.
